Soon to be released!!!!

In order to enhance prevention efforts in the schools, this review begins with an overview of the shared developmental etiology and individual descriptions of the most prevalent body-change strategies in youth populations (i.e., eating disorders, AAS abuse, and excessive exercise). Next, major developments in high-risk, body-change prevention practices are reviewed in detail (i.e., constructivism/active learning and iatrogenic/effective methodologies). Best-practices in school-based prevention are then addressed. This includes an overview of Tier I (e.g., universally-applied practices) and, Tier II (e.g., population-specific practices). Finally, general implications for policy and practice for schools are identified.
